Our Story
Everyone, and every business, has a story. LightPath Leadership’s is closely connected to her founder’s, Irene Öhler.
Irene arrived in Vietnam in 2012, after 15 years of international experience in leadership development.
One of the first things she noticed were the remarkable women of Vietnam. She kept meeting accomplished women, in both formal and informal leadership positions. She was fascinated and knew she had found a huge treasure still ‘undiscovered’. This treasure has remained a focus for Irene since 2012.
Fast forward to 2019, Irene has co-authored an awarded Book, Ba Trieu’s 21st Century Daughters, on remarkable Vietnamese women leaders, co-founded a live event series Women’s Storytelling Salon, and become a sought after speaker on the topic of women in leadership.
In 2016 Irene’s family made the big decision to stay on in Vietnam, to be a part of the country’s exciting growth story. They set up a business, LightPath Consulting Group, specialising in one of the hottest topics in Vietnam: international education.
2019 sees the birth of LightPath Leadership, which combines Irene’s deep experience in executive coaching, intercultural consulting, the power of storytelling and her personal mission of creating impact by developing authentic leaders.
As part of this, LightPath Leadership is now offering cutting edge international women leadership programmes tailored to the Vietnamese context.

About the Founder
Irene Ohler founder of LightPath Leadership, is passionate about leadership development and women’s empowerment. Irene has more than 20 years of international experience in HR development, having worked with Fortune 500 corporates and governments in Europe, China, Brazil, New Zealand and Vietnam as an executive coach and consultant. Her mission is to ignite leadership and support organisations to nurture talent, through executive coaching and delivery of programs designed especially for female executives.
Irene has become a sought-after expert in Vietnam for her work to promote women leadership. She is the author of a best-selling book on Vietnamese women leaders, called BaTrieu’s 21st Century Daughters. She also curates a unique live event series in Hanoi and HCMC called the Women’s Storytelling Salon, where professional women celebrate their experiences and successes.
